Nuclear fuel, water and waste management
Nuclear Power Plants make 2,500 MW each, the most of any generator, and drink 240 m³ of water a minute. Uranium Fuel Rods come from uranium ore through a long chain; each rod lasts five minutes and leaves 50 uranium waste.
Waste can’t be sunk and doesn’t break down. Store it well away from where you walk, or process it: uranium waste becomes Non-Fissile Uranium and then Plutonium Fuel Rods for the same plants. Plutonium waste only goes into Ficsonium, and Ficsonium Fuel Rods leave nothing behind.
Radiation hurts without a Hazmat Suit, and walls don’t stop it. Keep belts of uranium, rods and waste away from paths you use.
All rows describe one Nuclear Power Plant at 100% clock. Rod lifetime is the reciprocal of rods consumed per minute; waste rate is rods consumed multiplied by waste per rod. Fuel production and waste-processing power are additional loads.
