MAM research checklist and material planning

Choose useful unlocks, collect their materials and keep a research shopping list in this browser.

Pick a goal before collecting

MAM research runs alongside HUB milestones. A milestone may open a production tier while research improves movement, sorting, exploration or access to alien technology. Choose the next improvement around the problem you are trying to solve instead of paying for every branch at once.

For an expanding factory, Overclock Production and Smart Splitters are useful targets. For remote building trips, look at the Dimensional Depot and its upload upgrades. For exploration, compare Blade Runners, the Parachute, scanning and the equipment you can already manufacture. These are suggested goals, not a guaranteed unlock order.

Use the checklist with your research tree

  1. Find an unlock by name or select a research branch below. Open its Codex page to see its direct cost and rewards.
  2. Select the research nodes you still need, including any prerequisite nodes shown by the MAM in your game. The checklist sums the selected nodes; it does not automatically add prerequisites.
  3. Collect the combined materials. Some costs are exploration finds rather than parts your production lines can make, so check before setting off.
  4. Deselect a node once you have paid for it. The remaining list is saved only in this browser and can be cleared at any time.

Hard drives are a separate decision

Researching a hard drive offers alternate recipe choices. A cheaper direct recipe is not always a cheaper factory: it may exchange a common input for a scarce resource or require a larger supporting chain. Compare alternatives at the same output rate in the planner and the alternate recipe guide.

Before a long exploration trip, inspect nearby crash sites on the map and bring the requested parts or a portable power solution. Keep a small stock of materials for the MAM itself so you can set up research while away from your main base.
